BayernMUN is a Model UN conference that offers

  • great facilities
  • challenging topics
  • a competent Chair
  • an environment conducive to professional negotiations.

BayernMUN offers a rewarding Model UN experience by allowing you to work and negotiate together with a colleague delegate, representing the diplomatic interest of your chosen country in a large committee. Our competent conference staff will ensure fair and interesting negotiations, always with an open ear for your needs.

  • Effective teamwork with your partner
  • Self-confidence in negotiations with large groups of delegates
  • Routine with the Rules of Procedure
  • Delivering speeches in front of a large committee
  • Enjoying the company of many like-minded students in the same situation as yours

Successful negotiations don’t end with formal debate. That’s why there will be opportunities to socialize after the official conference hours.

For many participants, BayernMUN also serves as a preparatory meeting to the annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) in New York City. Your participation at BayernMUN will enhance your personal experience and your team’s success in New York.

To make to most of your visit to the region, make sure to take a look at our “Discover Nuremberg” special offer: A one-day/one-night additional package that offers our participants a short but comprehensive introduction to this wonderful city with its beautiful medieval flair and rich history!

The Registration opens on 1st of July 2016 and will end on 31st of January 2017.
Due to the high number of registrations, available places will be reserved after payment has been received on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation with a committee partner is highly encouraged, as it will provide you with valuable teamwork experience and practice. In this case, registration of both delegates is necessary.
Country assignment opens on 11 November 2017 and will close on 10 February 2017.

BayernMUN operates on a non-profit basis. Costs cover actual expenses.

The fee of 69€ (per person) includes participation, conference materials, lunch (Saturday/Sunday), dinner (Friday/Saturday), snacks and beverages during sessions!

For an additional 80€ (per person), you can optionally book accommodation and breakfast close to the venue. We’ve negotiated this special price for BayernMUN participants with our accommodation Partner Caritas-Pirckheimer-Haus Nürnberg. The price covers both nights of the conference and is exclusively available through the BayernMUN registration.

The provisional agenda of the BayernMUN 2017

1. Threats to International Peace and Security Caused by Terrorist Acts

2. Expanding Access to Justice

3. Eliminating Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, Related Intolerances and Strengthening Freedom of Religion

Background guides for these topics are already available HERE. To make such a wide variety of topics accessible in a single committee, the BayernMUN conference will be simulating the General Assembly Plenary.
