THE PROGRAM FOR 2027

At BayernMUN 2027, the experience goes far beyond your committee. From 22 to 24 January, Nuremberg’s Imperial Castle becomes a meeting place for ambitious young people, experienced diplomats, policy experts and leading organisations.

Explore European careers, tackle global challenges with PwC and Boston Consulting Group, and engage with voices from diplomacy, security policy and international cooperation. Then keep the conversations going at our networking events and celebrate together at the Delegates’ Dance.

Rules of Procedure Workshop

[PRESENCE NOT MANDATORY] The Rules of Procedure workshop helps unexperienced delegates to make themselves comfortable with the MUN-environment while providing some fresh-up for MUN-veterans.

Expert Panel Discussions

[PRESENCE MANDATORY] BayernMUNs Expert Panel usually takes place at the Opening Ceremony. By inviting renowed diplomat, scientist and politicans, we aim to inspire the delegates from the start, providing them critical expertise for their work in the committees.

This year, we are honored to welcome on our 2027 Expert Panel:

  • Mr Nico Lange (Senior Fellow @ Munich-Security-Conference)
  • Ms Madina Katter (Founder of Bulletproof Ukraine, Forbes 30 under 30, Obama Foundation Young Leader)
  • Mr Martin Kobler (UN-Sondergesandter für Irak und Libyen)
  • Michael Roth (former State Minister in Germanys Ministry for Foreign Affairs)

BayernMUN x EPSO / EU Commission

You debate Europe’s future. Could you help shape it professionally?

Our EU Careers Workshop brings the European institutions closer to you, with insights into career opportunities and the people working behind European policymaking. Featuring perspectives from the European Commission, the session will help you explore where your skills and ambitions could fit.

Whether you are drawn to policy, law, international cooperation or public administration, bring your questions and discover what a future working for Europe could look like.

European Resilience & Defence | In Conversation with Madina Katter

Europe’s security challenges are changing fast. What will it take to build a more resilient future, and what role can our generation play?

Join Madina Katter, Obama Foundation Europe Leader and Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree, for a workshop exploring European resilience and defence.

Engage with questions at the heart of today’s security debate, challenge your own assumptions and connect strategic discussions with the choices facing young Europeans. This is a chance to take your interest in international affairs beyond the headlines and into a conversation about Europe’s future.

KeyNotes

[PRESENCE MANDATORY] BayernMUNs Closing Ceremony usually contains a KeyNote Speech by a renowned diplomat, scientist or politician to conclude the content framework and leave a lasting impression on the delegates.

Last year, we were honored to welcome: Mr Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bielefeldt, former UN Special Envoy on Religion and Belief and former Professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU)

Hertie School Social

[PRESENCE NOT MANDATORY BUT RECOMMENDED] On the first evening of the conference, after the last committee session of the day, the Hertie School x BayernMUN Social takes place. There is the chance to learn more about the exciting opportunities for studies available at one of the most renowned universities for international governance and diplomacy. Moreover, Delegates can connect among themselves, setting the stage for the Delegates on Saturday evening.

Delegates Dance

[PRESENCE NOT MANDATORY BUT RECOMMENDED] On Satuday Evening, the Delegates Dance will take place. This is the perfect opportunity to network, connect with fellow delegates or just have an amazing time. Entrance is included in the purchase of any ticket option, drinks need to be paid by the delegates.

[Disclaimer] For the different age groups the following rules apply:

  • 18+ free access to the Delegates Dance and alcohol
  • 16-17: Access only under teacher supervision + only until 0 am
  • <16: No option to participate in the Delegates Dance

Early-Arrival Program

Depending on demand, we will also organize an event on the morning of the first day of the conference (Friday) before the opening ceremony for delegations who arrive early and would like to learn more about Nurembergs history and significance as a city of human rights before the conference begins. During the 2024 edition of the conference the event took place at the famous „Saal 600“ in the Nuremberg Palace of Justice, where the Nuremberg war crimes trials took place.
