STEP VIII – Below 18? Fill out the Youth Protection Form

According to the German Youth Protection Act, participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by legal guardians at events like the BayernMUN-conference. However, a transfer of the legal guardian duties to the teacher/faculty advisor can be issued. To do that, let your parents fill out the youth protection form, you can find below. 

If you are below the age of 18 and want to participate in the delegates dance as well, you will need to bring two copies of that form (one for check-in at the conference, one for the delegates dance).

If you wish to participate in the conference without a teacher or faculty advisor and will be under the age of 18 at the time of the conference, the “Parental Consent and Legal Guardian Declaration for Minor Participants” form below must be completed by your legal guardians and submitted in advance. Please note that submission of this form does not automatically entitle a minor participant to attend the conference. BayernMUN reserves the right to assess each case individually and to refuse participation where documentation is incomplete, insufficient, or does not meet the requirements set by the organizers.

Please note that BayernMUN does not assume general responsibility as legal guardian for minor participants. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, responsibility remains with the participant’s legal guardians.

Please be aware that participation in BayernMUN is strictly limited to individuals aged 16 and above.
